During my recent transit through Banff, I had the pleasure of staying at the Old Customs House Villa. The convenience of its location, with the nearest airport being only 61 km away, was a major plus point for me as a frequent traveler. It made my journey much more efficient and hassle-free. the provided database indicated that the accommodation had a washing machine and dryer, which were incredibly convenient for refreshing my clothes after a long day of exploring the beautiful surroundings.
While my stay at the Old Customs House Villa was overall delightful, there was one minor drawback that I noticed. According to the database, there was no garden or outside space available for guests to relax, have a cuppa, or even hang washing.

Great value for money, rooms were clean, tidy, and comfortable. The location was fantastic, with beautiful views of the harbour and even saw dolphins. The staff were friendly and helpful.
Breakfast option could have been more varied with a better selection.

The bathrooms at The Old Customs House were like a dream come true! I mean, seriously, they had not one, not two, but FIVE bathrooms. Can you imagine? And get this, one of them even had a hot tub! It was like having a personal spa right in my room. And let me tell you, after a long day of exploring Banff, relaxing in that hot tub was pure heaven. Plus, there were hairdryers in each bathroom, which was a total lifesaver for someone like me who has trouble reaching outlets. these bathrooms made me feel pampered and completely rejuvenated.
Okay, so here's the deal. As amazing as the bathrooms were, there was one tiny thing that I personally wasn't a fan of.

The Old Customs House is the perfect beachside retreat with stunning sea views and easy access to beautiful beaches, small bays, and the harbor. The location is fantastic, and we were able to enjoy walks along the shore and even spotted dolphins in the bay. The house itself is spacious and modern, with a large lounge and dining room that overlooks the bay. The kitchen is well-equipped, making it easy for us to cook our own meals. The utility room with a second fridge and freezer was a convenient addition.
Felt safe, and the staff were always ready to assist with any needs. Nothing was too much trouble.

Loved the sea views and cozy dining area with a toaster for my burnt toast. Free WiFi allowed me to ignore everyone. The nearest airport was conveniently far away from here.
Oh, how I missed having a garden to sip my tea and hang my washing. But who needs nature when you have a wooden cupboard hot tub?

Although my stay was brief, I was impressed by two standout features of this accommodation. its convenient location near the nearest airport, which was only 61 km away, made it incredibly easy for me to reach and minimize any travel stress. even though the house itself lacked outside space, this was not a major concern for me as there was so much to explore locally.
While my overall experience at Old Customs House Villa was pleasant, there was one minor drawback that I encountered. The hot tub, although a welcomed amenity, felt somewhat confining.

The location of the hotel is fantastic, with beautiful beaches, small bays, and a harbor within walking distance. The lounge and dining room offer stunning views of the bay, perfect for spotting dolphins. The rooms are well-furnished and the bathrooms are spacious with great showers. Additionally, the hotel provides a hot tub, extra fridge-freezer, washing machine, and dryer in the utility room for convenience.
The hotel lacks an outside space for guests to relax in when the weather is nice.

I had an amazing time at the Old Customs House in Banff. The location was absolutely stunning, with breathtaking views over the harbor. I was lucky enough to spot dolphins during my stay, which was a truly magical experience. The house itself was beautifully furnished and the rooms were spacious and comfortable. I also loved the convenience of having multiple bathrooms, all with great showers. The hot tub was a fantastic bonus, perfect for relaxing after a long day of exploring. The utility room with extra appliances was a great convenience as well.
One minor drawback was the lack of a garden or outdoor space to sit and relax. However, with the beach right on the doorstep and the castle grounds nearby, I still had plenty of options to enjoy the outdoors.

Excellent location near beaches, bays, and harbor. Stunning views from large lounge and dining room windows. Well-equipped kitchen and utility room with extra fridge. Spacious bedrooms and great showers.

Great location near the beach and town. Beautiful views of the harbor, we even saw dolphins! The rooms were well-furnished and the showers were great. The spaciousness of the property was a plus, and we really appreciated the utility room with extra amenities like a fridge-freezer and washing machine.
No outside space or garden to relax in, although the beach was nearby. The hot tub felt a bit cramped, like being in a wooden cupboard.
